No. While we strongly believe in a collaborative approach and regularly work alongside veterinarians, equine therapists, and other professionals, you do not need a referral to book an appointment with us.
Not at all. We regularly work alongside any veterinarian involved in your horse’s care. Whether your horse is under the management of your local clinic, a specialist hospital, or an independent equine vet, we’re happy to collaborate to ensure everyone is working towards the same outcome.
We believe the best results come from open communication between the owner, veterinarian, and farrier. By combining clinical findings, diagnostic imaging where appropriate, and farriery expertise, we can develop a treatment plan tailored specifically to your horse’s needs.
Our goal isn’t to replace your veterinarian—it’s to work as part of your horse’s healthcare team.

Safety is our priority. Many horses simply need time, patience, and a consistent approach. Where sedation is required for the safety of the horse and those handling it, we’re happy to arrange this through one of our local veterinary partners or work collaboratively with your preferred veterinarian.
If your horse has recurring lameness, poor hoof quality, conformational concerns, a diagnosed orthopaedic condition, or simply isn’t performing as expected, a remedial assessment may be beneficial. If you’re unsure, we’re happy to discuss your horse’s situation before booking.
While remedial farriery is our speciality, we also provide routine hoof care for horses that simply need high-quality trimming and shoeing
We cater to everything from trimming your paddock pony to getting the best from your performance horses - and anything in between!
Yes. We’re happy to assess your horse and discuss the options available. Every case is approached professionally and objectively, with the horse’s welfare always being the priority.
