Our farriery service differs enormously from that of a regular farrier. Normally a farrier will spend around an hour shoeing your horse and then move on to the next. This allows them to keep costs down through the economies of scale.
We understand that sometimes horses and riders will need far more from their farrier. We can take the time to watch you and your horse, both in hand and under saddle – after all, this is where you work together when competing! We then will discuss with you any concern and involve other professionals such as veterinarians and physiotherapists. From this wealth of knowledge and information, we can make a detailed shoeing plan and implement it. This will allow us to help you achieve your best and steal those extra points or seconds that might take you from third to first.
Basically, our aim is simple – to achieve the best and support and protect your horse whilst doing it!
Remedial work following injury is also very important to you and your competition horse. We understand that one month off of work often means three away from competition. We are well equipped to achieve an efficient recovery alongside your usual team.
We work in an un-rushed and professional manner; dedicating ourselves to your horse for as long as is required. We use the best products available to us, to help us achieve the standard you and your horse deserve.
General Farriery Services
We offer personalized hoof care for horses of all breeds and disciplines, with a wide array of general Farriery services on offer at our clinic, including:
- Regular Hoof trimming to maintain proper balance, shape and growth
- Hot and cold shoeing
- Hoof health maintenance for seedy toe, abscesses, thrush, and other common hoof problems
Remedial Work
We have extensive experience in the remedial sector working with vets and other specialists in therapeutic farriery application in horses with foot-related lameness. From hospital plates to laminitis management, caudal support and angle correction, pads, alternative shoes and everything else in-between. We are well equipped to achieve an efficient recovery alongside your usual team, or with ours.
SLEIP Assessment
We believe in the value of data to support decisions and dialogue about horse health.
Using the SLEIP software, we are able to utilise objective gait analysis when assessing horses to detect asymmetries invisible to the naked eye, supporting early detection of issues. This information can help us tailor a shoeing plan to assist in rectifying even the smallest asymmetries, and can prevent them turning into bigger issues down the line.

We are proudly the on-site remedial farrier for Werribee Equine Centre.
We strongly believe that collaboration is key, and take pride in working alongside other equine professionals to achieve the best outcome for your horse. We offer consultations and collaboration with veterinarians, trainers, and other equine professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for horses with complex hoof issues.
